Welcome to IVUP!

The Imperial Valley University Partnership (IVUP) is an innovative educational initiative undertaken by Imperial Valley College (IVC), the Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) and San Diego State University’s Imperial Valley Campus (SDSU-IV) that offers Imperial Valley students an accessible, and affordable, high quality education with a clear path to a Bachelor’s degree in four years. IVUP accepts eligible students every fall semester into its new cohort.

IVUP offers:

  • Priority registration
  • A cohort structure
  • Academic and personal enrichment seminars
  • Orientations for students and parents
  • Close mentoring and advising
  • Full access to all the resources, services, programs, facilities, and events at both institutions (SDSU-IV and IVC)
  • Scholarship opportunities
  • The opportunity to stay local and save money
  • And a clear path to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in 4 years (with an option to graduate with an associate’s degree from IVC within the first 2 years)

IVUP students can major in:

  • Criminal Justice
  • History
  • Liberal Studies
  • Psychology
  • Public Administration
  • Spanish* (*The Spanish major is only open for students who have taken AP Spanish Language and have obtained a score of 3 or higher).           

 

The fall 2015 admission application filing period is now closed.
The admission application filing period for fall 2016 is from October 1 to November 30, 2015.
